hawes western marshall .45

Can anyone help me out? I have a Hawes Western Marshall .45 that belonged to my stepfather.He passed away a few years ago & I'm just looking for some info on this gun.Engraved on the barrell is this...Hawes Firearms Co.Los Angeles California with the word Germany directly under L.A. the # 5/3001 on the barrel & in front of the trigger guard.Any info is appreciated...thanx Chris
