Found: Italian .36 Cal black powder

Hi,

During a move, while rummaging through family "stuff" I came across this .36 Cal, black powder pistol with a stamp on the barrel which reads:

"CAL .36 NAVY MODEL - MADE IN ITALY
BLACK POWDER ONLY"

It looks identical to a Colt 1851 Navy pistol; see here:

By identical, iot has the same screw pattern and location, and looks identical in every other aspect.

Any information anybody can provide me with, including model history, if it's a replica, and especially any information involving safety operation and opening the cylinder, would be much appreciated.
