Course Summary:
This half-day course is
designed for the beginning or intermediate shooter who desires
closer familiarization with their firearms and who is interested but
inexperienced in the exiting world of competitive shooting. This
course will focus on three main areas: firearm handling skills,
firearm safety, and an introduction to competition. Participants
will experience an actual, yet simple, competitive live-fire course
designed to utilize the skills learned in class.
Course Outline:
1. 1.
Basic range safety – Do’s
and Don’ts
2. 2.
Basic firearm handling
skills for pistol, rifle and shotgun. (Participants interested in
only one firearm type need not attend
the other two sessions, although it is strongly recommended, as the
training builds upon itself.)
3. 3.

firearm type, correctly and safely
4. 4.
Carry methods, holstering
and un-holstering techniques
